Building Resilience Training

Duration: One-day tutor-led training

Suitable for: Employees, line managers, and HR professionals

Resilience can be described as our ability to adapt and bounce back when things don’t go as planned. Resilient people don’t dwell on failures; they acknowledge the situation, learn from their mistakes, and then move on.

Having a high level of resilience does not mean you will avoid stress; it means you will be able to adapt and recover more effectively from it.

We can’t always choose the situations we find ourselves in, but we can usually choose how we respond in the long run.

BounceBack’s Building Resilience course will allow you and your employees to recognise  automatic, unplanned responses and learn how to react to them in order to build your own  resilience and overall wellbeing.

By the end of the building resilience workshop you will be able to:

Define resilience and explain its importance

Challenge the way you think

Differentiate between positive and negative thinking

Use tools that help you develop resilience

Help to build workplace resilience

Building Resilience Training content:

  • Why is resilience important? We explore why resilience is important to us as individuals and why it is an attribute possessed by resilient people. Participants will identify their own resilience levels and how they currently cope with workplace challenges.
  • Positive vs. negative thinking. Determine how negative thinking can have both a physical and psychological impact. Discover how negative reactions to minor setbacks can lead to an escalation of negative feelings and affect work performance.
  • Challenge your thinking. Use a variety of models to identify behaviours based on our past experiences and beliefs. This is the opportunity to explore individual outlooks and discuss tips and techniques for challenging your thinking and the impact it can have.
  • Building personal and workplace resilience. Discovering useful tools to develop personal and workplace resilience. Delegates will be able to develop an action plan to define what they can do to improve resilience both personally and at work.
